 ??CHEER TRYOUTS FOR THE 2013 SEACheer Tryouts & Uniform Fittings


 

PLEASE SEE 2020 DATES BELOW FOR ORIENTATION, TRYOUTS, AND UNIFORM FITTINGS.

 

Tryouts - All registered cheerleaders are required to attend tryouts.   

K-2nd Grade:

 

April 22nd- We will hold orientation for all registered cheerleaders entering K-2nd Grade for the Fall of 2021 school year for 1 night from 6-8pm at the Cranberry Municipal Center Gym.  This 1 day session will provide our young cheerleaders the opportunity to meet other cheerleaders and to learn cheers, jumps, and a dance.  Please ensure your cheerleader is dressed appropriately (no denim) with tennis shoes and hair pulled back.  Cheerleaders should bring a water bottle with them. Parents are not permitted to stay on-site, and we ask that you wear a face covering while picking up and dropping off your child. Instead of a normal parent meeting we will provide a packet for the parents to take home at the end of the night. 

3rd-8th Grade:

April 19th, 20th, & 21st - We will hold orientation/tryouts for cheerleaders entering 3rd-8th Grades for the Fall of the 2021 school year for 3 nights from 6-8pm at the Cranberry Township Municipal Center.  All registered cheerleaders are required to attend the first 2 nights regardless if trying out for a competitive squad or not.  Parents will be required to sign a waiver if their daughter will be trying out for the competitive squad.  During the first 2 days, the cheerleaders will be learning a cheer and a dance routine. Cheerleaders should bring a water bottle for the first 2 days of practice. Instead of a normal parent meeting we will provide a packet for the parents to take home at the end of the night. Parents are not permitted to stay on site, and we ask that you wear a face covering while picking up and dropping off your child. 
Day 3 will be tryouts only for cheerleaders wishing to tryout for the competition squad.  Cheerleaders will assigned a time to tryout on Wednesday the 21st. They will not be required to stay after they tryout. Cheerleaders will perform what they learned for a panel of judges.  Parents are not permitted to watch practice and/or tryouts. 

For all cheerleaders ~Please ensure your cheerleader is dressed appropriately (no denim) with tennis shoes and hair pulled back during the first 2 days.  Shorts, yoga pants, t-shirts, tanks, etc. 

For cheerleaders attending tryouts ~ Cheerleaders will be required to wear plain black shorts, a solid white t-shirt and mostly white tennis shoes on day 3 for tryouts (white piping on shorts or small Justice symbol is fine).  Hair should be neatly and securely pulled back with a black ponytail holder, NO hair bows or headbands. No nail polish or make-up. 


 
Uniform Fitting -  Saturday May 22nd or Sunday May 23rd (Official Day TBD): Uniform and apparel fittings. All cheerleaders and mascots MUST attend.  Each group will have a specific time to report. If you need to request a alternate time from please reach out to Lindsay or Kristen.   A $200 deposit is required for the uniform and poms.  The check will not be cashed, but returned to you if the uniform and poms are returned in the condition received.  Mandatory and optional apparel will also be purchased at this time.  Multiple checks will be required, to include $150 for cheerleaders on competitive squads.  Raffle tickets will also be distributed to each family, $125.  Please make all checks payable to SVJFAC.
